Description

A long-overdue remake of my rather old Looney Tunes/Tiny Toons and Deus Ex: Invisible War crossover that I've only now got around to finishing up, done mostly because I can barely stand to look at any of my old pics of it. (I still need to work on coming up with better titles though...)

Ever since I drew Bugs and Daffy as JC and Paul Denton from Deus Ex years back, I figured this was the next logical step: the students of ACME Looniversity studying to become the next generation of cartoon superstars as the elite trainees of the Tarsus Academy SOR program studying to become the next generation of nanotech augmented super-agents in uncomfortably tight-looking leather outfits. I ultimately decided to draw them standing in the Seattle City Center outside the city's Tarsus building, something that I'm almost sure took longer than drawing the actual characters.:sleepy: Anyone familiar with this area will no doubt notice the heavy use of artistic license I took in drawing it. I'd say my butchery depiction of the city center is an abstraction, except I'm not entirely sure those tiny, walled-off zones you visit in-game aren't supposed to be abstractions themselves. (or at least I sincerely HOPE they are...)

Anyway, Buster and Babs are the male and female versions of Alex Denton, and I've begun to think that their connection to Bugs as JC Denton runs deeper than I initially thought. Alex is eventually revealed to be (surprise!) a modified clone of JC, and is widely regarded by players as nowhere near as badass or stylish as his/her predecessor. I soon realized that that's exactly what Babs and Buster are, a couple of miniature, altered clones of Bugs Bunny, trying their hardest to emulate his style but still falling short of duplicating his greatness. As for the others, Plucky Duck is Leo Jankowski because they're both arrogant jackasses, Shirley the Loon is Klara Sparks because they're both part-time pacifists, and Fifi la Fume is Billie Adams because I feel like it. And yes, that is a cigarette; raid Billie's locker in Seattle and you find out she's a smoker, probably one of those little details fans are supposed to notice and treat as trivia, or perhaps I'm just reading too much into the developers' choice of item placement.

Enough commentary, just enjoy the Invisible War title song: [link]

Now if only the actual game itself was as cool as its theme music...
